About the client
Velma Celli is one of the United Kingdom’s rising stars. The live singing and dancing drag queen and her dancers are bagging rave reviews with their performances and have already taken the show out internationally. With the fast-developing reputation of the show, a show brand and marketing operation was needed and Barry Viniker Communications was seen as just the thing. So Velma Celli decided to ‘Get Vinikered’.
BVC was asked to create a fresh logo that encapsulated the glitz, glamour and fun of the Velma Celli Show and apply it to a business card and flyer design that speaks to the show’s ticket buying audience and a corporate event market for private event, awards nights and Christmas party bookings.
What we did
Rather than creating a new logo and brand for the show, we decided to develop the initial concept, adding key facets to promote what the show’s all about: Glamour, high heels, sparkles, diamonds and eye catching brilliance. We used a combination of the logo, calligraphy and photography to create an effective business card that can also be used to promote the event as a mini-flyer.
The Velma Celli Show website was creating using a WordPress website that uses imagery on all pages to allow the show to promote the style and show off the glamour and fun of the show. It also allows visitors to check latest news about the show, leave comments, join the online newsletter mailing list, enquire and book corporate show performances and review galleries and show videos.
Finally, we helped plan a social media strategy to help bring new fans to help Velma Celli become one of the best known and loved drag artists in the United Kingdom and promote The Velma Celli Show to an ever-increasing fan base.
